Introduction

Toray PPS resin, TORELINA™, is a crystalline, thermoplastic engineering plastic that has the chemical structure shown in Fig. 1.1.

Usually, Toray PPS resin, TORELINA™, is used to form a complex with an inorganic substance such as glass fiber, and is particularly excellent among thermoplastic resins in terms of its properties such as heat resistance, rigidity, dimensional stability, moist-heat resistance, chemical resistance, and flame retardance. For this reason, this engineering plastic is widely used in mechanical parts, car parts, electrical and electronic parts, and so on.
