Features of Toray PPS Resin, TORELINA™

Ⅰ. Heat resistance

Offers excellent long-term heat resistance, capable of sustained continuous use at 200℃ to 240℃. Can also withstand high temperatures of 260℃ or greater for a short period of time.

Ⅱ. Mechanical strength

With a melting point of about 280℃, a glass transition temperature of about 90℃, and a heat distortion temperature of 260℃ to 270℃, exhibits high strength even at high temperatures, while also offering excellent creep resistance.

Ⅲ. Hot water resistance

Has a low water-absorption ratio, so offers high levels of strength even in hot water.

Ⅳ. Chemical resistance

Has a high degree of resistance to acids, alkalis, and various organic solvents, which is the second-highest resistance after fluororesin.

Ⅴ. Flame retardance

Offers high flame retardance even without the addition of a flame retarder.

Ⅵ. Electrical properties

Exhibits excellent electrical properties even at high humidities and high temperatures.

Ⅶ. Dimensional stability

Exhibits excellent dimensional stability in a variety of environments due to its excellent heat resistance, water resistance, and chemical resistance.

Ⅷ. Moldability

Exhibits excellent fluidity, allowing it to be used for the injection molding of precision molding parts.
