Joining Techniques for Thermoplastic Resins

Typical joining techniques for thermoplastic resins are shown in Fig. 10.1. For thermoplastic resins, joining methods based on thermal welding are often used from the perspective of durability. Among these, the hot-plate welding method, the vibration welding method, and the ultrasonic welding method are commonly used. Recently, the laser welding method, which uses a laser beam, and the injection welding method, which uses a Die Slide Injection (DSI) molding machine, have come into widespread use.
