Smart Meter Housings

Smart meters are generally installed outdoors, and their housings require high weather resistance, flammability, impact resistance, and electrical insulation, as well as high dimensional stability corresponding to the terminal guide grooves provided inside.
Toray provides highly durable and highly accurate resins that are resistant to deformation over a long period, withstanding use in severe environments and enabling precise housing design.

While having outstanding dimensional stability among PBTs, this is a material that highly balances flammability, hydrolysis resistance which was a weakness of conventional PBT, and toughness (handling stress at fastening parts).
It has optimal performance for housings used outdoors.
